February Party Opportunities
Wow.. January sure went by quickly. February is here and offers some great opportunities for parties. First there are the MONTH LONG Observances. February is American Heart Month, American History Month, Black History Month, Childrens Dental Health Month, National Cherry Month, National Embroidery Month, National Grapefruit Month, Wild Bird Feeding Month (the birds deserve a party too), Responsible Pet Owners Month and last but not least National Snack Food Month which I think should be celebrated with cupcakes!!!
Of course tomorrow (February 2) is Ground Hog Day, a perfect excuse for a party. Those of us in the COLD areas of the USA are definitely ready for Spring to arrive soon. I mentioned Elmo has a birthday in a previous post you should have ordered your cupcake rings and candles by now.
February 3rd is also "The Day the Music Died" . In 1959 a plane crash claimed the lives of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Big Bopper and the pilot Roger Peterson. If you get a chance head up to the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake Iowa for the Fifties Celebration.
